Flagbag
Hasselt-based company Flagbag is known for making all kinds of accessories out of recycled flags. With the help of a sewing machine, these old flags are transformed into a wide variety of products. This is Flagbag’s way of saying no to waste: discarded flags and pennants that would surely end on the waste heap are now given a new life.
Think global, act local! The distance covered by a Flagbag from resource to finished product is minimal, especially as compared to similar products that you can buy elsewhere. The flags are salvaged in Hasselt and processed by local manufacturers. The other components (such as zippers, linings, handles …) are recycled from old textiles as often as possible or bought from local suppliers.
A nice little extra: flag fabric is 100 % polyester and virtually impossible to wear out.
